Iron Ore & Coal
World
Shipping Summit 2010
Discovering the future of the shipping markets
- the need for innovation - and where should the smart investments go now?
Monday 4 October 2010
Divani Apollon Palace
Athens - Greece
Following the very successful first Iron Ore &
Coal World Shipping Summit last year, Mare Forum together with OreCoal is
pleased to announce the second conference to be held on Monday 4th of
October 2010. The international iron ore, coal and shipping communities will
gather in Athens to discuss, advise and network around the topical issues
which affect the world’s largest seagoing commodities.
The conference will focus on the maritime transportation of iron ore and
coal, making an attempt to forecast the trends of global economy; iron ore,
coal and other commodities, production and distribution; the trading
markets, shipping capacities, shipbuilding and shipping requirements; the
financing and investment climate, shipping innovation effects on ship-values
and the environmental imperatives.
This will be again a unique forum for the leading players of the shipping
and mining industry to explore and examine common challenges. This summit
will feature many high profile speakers from shipping companies, charterers,
traders, mining companies, steel mills, shipbuilders, ports, classification
societies, financial institutions, politicians, regulators, brokers and the
media. The entire maritime chain will gather at this distinguished
conference, where the exchange of information and ideas will make this an
unforgettable experience.
Topics to be addressed are:
-
Learn from the iron
ore, coal, oil, gas and other commodities producers and end-users what
their market perceptions and expectations are.
-
Discuss who has the
real hard information on current trends and how it should be valued.
-
Debate with charterers,
traders, brokers, operators and ship-owners on what the freight rates
and the market will be, what ships will be needed and how shipping will
be affected.
-
Learn about shipping
innovation needed for the future and debate with leading personalities
how ship innovation will affect ship asset values
-
Learn how to mobilize
money in the current and future climate.
-
Learn where the
shipping money is now and how to find it
-
Learn where the smart
investments should go now?
Come to Athens and join
the world’s shipping players there to discuss, debate
and network in a true Athenian style at Iron Ore & Coal
World Shipping Summit 2010.
